Troy, NY - The Boston Lady Whalers Elite Hockey Club is proud to announce that 2006-born forward, Mia Montanari, has committed to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).
Mia, a native of East Hampton, CT, grew up playing her youth hockey for the Hartford Jr. Wolfpack program. She joined the Lady Whalers '06 National Elite group in the summer of her PeeWee Major year - and has been a part of our club ever since.
Upon matriculation onward to the high school ranks, Mia took her game locally to the perennial powerhouse Kent School. In the fall, she has played her hockey and paced the offense for the Connecticut Polar Bears U18 team - leading them to a New England title.
Congratulations to Mia, her parents, and the rest of her family on this momentous accomplishment in her hockey and academic journey! We will be cheering on the Engineers over the next five years!!
