Faribault, MN -  The Boston Lady Whalers Elite Hockey Club is thrilled to share that 2006-born forward, Lola Reid, has committed to Boston University for the Fall of 2024!

Lola grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, and played her youth hockey for the Omaha Hockey Club boys program throughout her youth years. She matriculated onward to The Shattuck St. Mary's School in 2019, where she was selected to play up on the U16 Team as a 13-year old, a daunting task which was met with success.

Over the course of Lola's three seasons on the U16 Team at Shattuck, she accumulated a whopping 62 goals, 36 assists, and 98 points. This season, she has risen to prominence as a mainstay on the 19U Prep Team at Shattuck and has tallied 25 goals, 15 assists and 40 points through 36 games played.

"Lola is a high-intensity playmaker, who commands the puck in the offensive zone. She uses her body to shield the puck while keeping her feet moving, and getting it to the net every chance she gets," said BLW's Mike Cusack.

Lola has been one of the anchors on our BLW '06 National Elite Team over the past several years, and we will be following along and rooting for the Shattuck St. Mary's Prep Team this season.

Congratulations to Lola, her parents Brian and Beth, and the entire Reid family on this enormous accomplishment!  The sacrifices that you've made in a non-hockey market have not gone unnoticed, and we're pumped to watch Lola succeed at the next level! Go Terriers!
